Scarlet Red 3R
Acid scarlet 3R (C.I. acid red 18) appearance is red powder. It is red in water, slightly soluble in alcohol and fibrinolysin, and insoluble in other organic solvents. When concentrated sulfuric acid, acid red 18 is purple, it will be diluted to red orange. The concentrated hydrochloric acid in its aqueous solution is red and the sodium hydroxide is brown.
